Welcome to the 4am club! I'm glad things are starting to move forward for you and your daughter. It is so scarry I know. My prayers are with you all. I am so happy to hear that you have Dr.'s that you trust with your life because it makes a world of difference in recovery.

My comment would be that I would like to think that these people just put in 72 hours of very hard work helping clean up. Since there is no hotel to return to at the moment they are catching alittle shut eye and rest for the next 72 hours.

i've lost count of the number of times an aquaintance or customer introduces his partner by saying: "oh yeah, this is the wife".. .
the wife?.
At least they introduce them. My husband rarely does. They just have to assume this person standing beside him is his wife and I usually end up introducing myself. When questioned later why he didn't (for the 100th time) I get "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't think about it." You would think after 25 years he'd remember
I don't know why but I don't like someone calling their wife or someone elses "their old lady". I didn't like it when I was 20 and I like it even less now that I'm 29

yesterday evening my dog got an epileptic attack - peeing all over the tapestry and almost glueing at the floor with the foam at his mouth (it is very hard to remove).
after the attack he wanted to "walk" pacing up the room (and backyard) for a long time.. .
this night he was whining a lot - wanting outside... (which i allowed for at least 5 times - thus having not much sleep myself).
Sorry you are having trouble with your dog peeing, I know how frustrating it is.
I don't know anything about dogs with seisures but I have heard that for a few hours after people have them they can be disoriented, weak and just not themselves. Dogs would maybe be the same way. It is a major electrical over load of the nervous system so I am sure it could effect many areas until the body rights itself. I'm sure your vet will have all the answers.
a coupie of nights ago, i was sat watching an old video-clip of the village people singing "ymca"on tv.
the thought occured to me that the wt most likely have a down on the ymca (they have a down on most things), so i searched ymca on my wt library cd.. well, that was interesting all right.

i use to think that going door to door had its hazardous moments, but the time i was bitten by a dog wow.

i still can't figure out why the mutt bit me as i love animals.
I got bit at around 7 or 8. We were "In Service" walking down the street and the lady and her beagle were standing by the sidewalk in her yard. When we got close the dog started growling. I was a little leary passing them. The lady bent down to the dog to calm him saying "he's okay, he won't bite." CHOMP! He bit my leg. I remember sitting on the ladies toilet as she was cleaning up the wound. I can't remember if my Granny witnessed to her or not.
Around the same time I got bit on the wrist by a neighbours Colley who did not want a dress put on her. I thought she might like it. Wrong! I had to go to the hospital for that one. I have a healthy respect for dogs now.
